Methode Electronics starts the supply of ATL Brake Switches to VW Group

Beginning of 2007 saw the start of shipments of Methode’s ATL Brake Pedal Switch to the Volkswagen Group. The ATL (Adjust Turn Lock) is a Methode patented adjustment system for pedal box controls. The benefits this system offers include: a reduction of the tolerances within the hydraulic and pedal systems, the elimination of the possibility of misadjusting the switch during service life and ease of assembly by the OEM.

Frankfurt, Germany, May 9, 2007 - Methode Electronics, Automotive Group Europe, a division of Methode Electronics Inc. (NASDAQ: METH), a global developer and manufacturer of electronic component and subsystem devices and, SensorDynamics AG, a development company manufacturing intricate microchip and micro-sensor systems announced today the availability of the first jointly developed Smart Position Sensor for applications requiring micro precision. This is a major achievement for the partnership entered by both companies.
METHODE SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDS ITS OPERATIONS IN MALTA

Beginning of 2007, Methode Electronics completed the transfer of product lines from its Dumbarton (Scotland) to its other European automotive production facility located in Malta. The Malta facility is a first class plant which has been established in the Automotive Industry for the last 40 years and which is managed by a highly technically competent workforce. Following this latest expansion, the number of employees working at the Malta facility stands at 671.

Methode Electronics, Inc. today announced that it has implemented a restructuring at its Malta manufacturing facility. The company made the decision to restructure in response to ongoing decreased demand from its North American automotive customers and rapid increases in raw material costs.

Methode Malta employees see their work in Alfa 159

For the first time ever, Methode Electronics Malta Ltd have been involved in a major driver-operated switches programme. The Mriehel-based subsidiary of the american multinational Methode Electronics Inc. secured the contract to design and manufacture the switches for the Alfa Romeo 159.
